Bundi in Rajasthan formerly known, as Bunda-ka-dal is known for its wonderful forts and prolific Heritage hotels. It is one of the two towns made out of Hadoti Kingdom formed by the young Chauhan warriors in 1193 A.D. It is surrounded by the Aravalli Hills on its three sides and is bastioned inside a colossal wall having four gates.
The forts in Bundi add to the overwhelming heritage of Rajasthan. The Taragarh Fort, built in 1354 is a magnificent fort giving perfect views of the sun set in the surrounding countryside. The Bundi palace is known for its vivid Paintings depicting the stories of Lord Krishna and his ladylove Radha. Some of the other sites which are worth seeing in Bundi are Chaurasi Khambo-ki-chatri or 84 Pillared Cenotaph, Rani-Ji-Ki-Baori, Ratan Daulat, etc.
