Kumbhalgarh in Rajsthan is a vast citadel 82 km from Udaipur Rana Kumbha built it in 15th century in the majestic land of Rajasthan, and since then it has been impregnable except once when it was taken over by collective forces of Akbar, a famous and powerful Mughal emperor; Malwas, and the Sultan of Gujrat. It is situated on the hilltop, which is 1900 meter high.
One cannot miss the fort’s has a massive gate called Ram Pol, which makes its entrance more imposing. A wall stretching continuously for 36 km circumscribes the fort, and it is the second longest wall in the world after The Great Wall of China. The fort has around 360 temples in its vicinity, out of which 300 are ancient Jain temples and the rest are Hindu temples. The fort sings the saga of the royalty and the glory of the history of Rajasthan, in its own vastness.
It also has a wildlife sanctuary named after it in Rajasthan called Kumbhalgarh wildlife sanctuary, which stretches from Udaipur, Pali and Rajsamand districts. It is admired for its natural green expanses with a wide array of animals and birds. The animals include Chinkara, Hare, Jungle cat, Wolf, etc, and the birds in this sanctuary include Doves, Peacock, Bulbul, Golden Oriole, etc. One can also view the fort of Kumbhalgarh from some parts of the park.
