    A tour to Chittorgarh in the Rajasthan city takes you to its astounding wildlife sanctuaries, citadels and holy places, which abridge the commanding history of the place to its tourists. This city of Rajputs or the brave warriors of India lies on the Berach River. It is home to the historical Chittorgarh fort, which has an astounding history enduring which it is still standing intact on a hilltop, which is 180 meters high. The Mauryas built it in 7 the century, following which it has witnessed many gory battles, one of which was when the sultan of Delhi, Allaudin Khilji who wanted to abduct Rani Padmini the queen and beauty of the fort. After her death a palace was built in the fort after her name called Rani Padmini palace. Chittorgarh, like many other towns and cities in Rajasthan sings the songs of Royalty and bravery in its long-standing forts and temples.

    Some of the famous tourist spots in Chittorgarh are:

  • The Chittorgarh fort that covers 700 acres of the land, and has some incredible structures within it. In most of its history the fort was a bastion to the Rajputs of Mewar, until when Maharaja Udai Singh shifted his capital to Udaipur after the attack by Akbar, the famous Mughal emperor.
  • Bassi wild life sanctuary, known for its immigrating birds and diverse Fauna, which include Wild Boar, Panthers, Mongoose and Antelopes.
  • Mata Kundriya temple also called as the Haridwar of Mewar has abundance of intricate carvings on all its walls, which makes the place more intriguing.
  • These places give the town its essence and a picturesque beauty that appeals to every traveler looking for a wholesome trip.
